Roma boss Jose Mourinho could reportedly be headed for yet another acrimonious club exit. SLInt MORE:

, two seasons into his spell at the Stadio Olimpico and the 2022/23 campaign could be Mourinho's last with the Giallorossi.

The relationship between the Portuguese coach and the club’s sporting director Tiago Pinto has reportedly gone cold, with the pair said to disagree on which direction to take the club. The two-time UEFA Champions League winner is believed to be insisting on significant reinforcements in defence, midfield and up front in the next transfer window, but the club is reluctant to make substantial funds available to the 60-year-old.

When he first arrived in Rome, Mourinho spent €126 million on new players, but while Roma signed the likes of Paulo Dybala and Nemanja Matic on free transfers at the beginning of this season, the club only spent €9 million on new arrivals, and according to the former Inter Milan and Porto boss, more money will need to spent if they are to seriously contend for the UEFA Champions League places.

It is further claimed that while the three-time Premier League winner also reportedly wants to open negotiations on a new contract as soon as possible, the Roma hierarchy are hesitant regarding a new deal for the tactician.
