The incident happened around 12:10 p.m. Sunday at the library located at 585 Franklin St., the Mountain View Police Department said in a news release. The suspect asked the female victim a question as she walked past him, and when she looked at him, she saw that he was exposing himself and masturbating, police said.On Tuesday, a patrol officer found and arrested the suspect at the library during a patrol check, police said. He was booked into Santa Clara County jail on charges of indecent exposure with previous convictions and failing to register as a sex offender.
