Over P800,000 worth of shabu and marijuana were seized in several police operations in Caloocan and Quezon Cities on Tuesday, Dec. 27, and Wednesday, Dec. 28.
The Caloocan City Police Station said the first three suspects — Lolita Saavedra, 59; Robin Saavedra, 25, both residents of Marilao, Bulacan; and Noemi Ebacuardo, 28, of Caloocan City — yielded P340,000 worth of alleged shabu in a buy-bust operation.
Meanwhile, a man carrying suspected marijuana worth P117,000 was collared by CCPS operatives on the same day.CCPS personnel manning a checkpoint on Samson Road in Brgy. 167 Llano in the city flagged down the suspect’s motorcycle for an inspection. Tanjuan suddeny sped off to escape but was chased and cornered by the cops. Confiscated from him was a brick of 975 grams of alleged dried marijuana leaves.
