At least 270 people were arrested across Miami Beach so far this month during spring break, according to authorities.

Christopher Bess, who is the department's public information officer, said public safety is the top priority for guests, as well as residents. We had more law enforcement resources deployed out in the field in any previous years before," Bess said, adding that the community was also helpful. "We honestly believe that we are creating a more comfortable environment for everyone, including the visitors."
