PUTRAJAYA: More must be done to meet the needs of those looking to invest in Malaysia, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“If we only take in investments but do not prepare the infrastructure and skills, there will be issues," said the Prime Minister.
Speaking at the Finance Ministry’s monthly gathering on Tuesday , Anwar said that he has directed the ministry to coordinate and identify skill areas that the local workforce are lacking to meet investors’ demands. He said the issue of skilled workers must be given attention so that investors need not employ foreigners for the job.
