PUTRAJAYA, April 3 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said several leading companies from China have decided to make Malaysia their regional hub.
“Usually their regional hubs are in other countries, or in neighbouring countries, this is the first time several of the companies choose Malaysia as their regional hub,” the premier said after his recent official visit to China. However, Anwar said the government is prepared to quickly approve their applications to bring workers in from China provided they show proof that their effort to hire local workers has failed.
