The mother of a 20-year-old man shot and killed in Montgomery is sharing his story in hopes of finding out what happened to her son. MONTGOMERY , Ala. -
“He was an innocent person,” Freeman said. “He, from my understanding, was just wrong place wrong time, trying to take a friend somewhere.” Cornelius was in the hospital for two days before being declared brain dead and taken off of a ventilator.“He’s a brother. He’s a grandson. He’s a nephew,” said Kaneshia Matthews, Cousin of Cornelius Johnson. “He’s a lot of things and justice is deserved.”
“This happened a week before the young lady that got shot over there as well, and I’m not understanding,” Freeman added.
