Mobile County voters are being asked once again to weigh in on a major infrastructure program.
On the ballot this November, as the last item under the “Special County Election” section, is the 2024 Pay-As-You-Go or PAYG Transportation Improvement Program.) - On the ballot this November, as the last item under the “Special County Election” section, is the 2024 Pay-As-You-Go or PAYG Transportation Improvement Program. This year’s proposal includes 36 projects that will improve over 77 miles of roads and build two new bridges in the county.
Key projects in this year’s program include widening sections of Cottage Hill Road and McFarland Road, resurfacing roads in both rural and urban areas, and constructing a new bridge on Jeff Hamilton Road over Deakle Creek.
