Surveillance video allegedly showed Justin Miles kicking and stomping on Harry McClure's head, authorities said.
The victim of a brutal inmate-on-inmate assault late last month in Mobile County has been taken off life support, authorities said Monday.
Harry McClure, 59, was still alive as of Monday afternoon after his family took him off life support Sunday but is “not expected to survive,” according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.Surveillance video allegedly showed Miles stomping and kicking McClure’s head while McClure was lying on a mat, the sheriff’s office said. Witnesses told investigators the attack was unprovoked.
McClure was taken to the medical wedge at Mobile County Metro Jail before being transported to a local hospital.
