The car manufacturer believes it will prevent several problems for owners who want to install the technology.
Mitsubishi is set to announce additions to its L200 Triton Sport bakkie, including factory preparation for Starlink technology, Motor1The Japanese car manufacturer will reportedly reveal the additions at an upcoming Agrishow event in Ribeirao Preto, Brazil, next week.
The new features will debut on the Savana variant but eventually become available for all options manufactured in Brazil.Starlink, engineered by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, is a low-Earth orbit satellite Internet constellation that offers high-speed satellite broadband connections.StarlinkThis uses a portable dish called the Flat High Performance Starlink unit; however, it still requires that it be placed in a stationary position to provide connectivity.
“The hardware is designed for a permanent installation on your vehicle and is resilient in harsh environments,” Starlink explained at the time of release.Motor1 reports that Mistubishi will factory prepare the vehicles for Starlink technology that will prevent potential problems and adaptations during equipment installation by a third party.Aside from the two types of RV service, Starlink is available as a fixed service for homes and businesses, and a mobile service for boats and airplanes.
