KOTA KINABALU: Rescuers found a 33-year-old man who had been missing for three days in Sipitang on Friday (Sept 22).
Lahanirsin Lahamino was found safe at Kampung Sapok at 4.20pm, six kilometres from the control post set up at Kampung Lubok Darat where he first went missing.
“The victim was brought to the hospital for further treatment, and the operation ended at 4.55pm,” said the Fire and Rescue Department spokesman. Earlier, the Department initiated a joint search assisted by the K9 unit with the police, Civil Defence Force, and villagers after first receiving a report of the missing person on Wednesday .
According to the report, the victim had been missing for a few days and failed to return home after entering the forest near Kampung Lubok Darat to gather fruits.
