A manhunt is underway for Kevin Mason after he walked out of jail on Sept. 13 due to a clerical error. His girlfriend, who picked him up and gave him a phone, was arrested Wednesday.
, Marion County Sheriff Kerry Forestal said at a news conference Wednesday.
Mason was arrested in Indianapolis on Sept. 11, but, due to a clerical error, he walked out of jail two days later. He called his girlfriend, 29-year-old Desiree Oliver, for a ride and was picked up near the jail, Forestal said. Authorities are interrogating Oliver and another woman, 25-year-old Chaznia Dawson, who was present when police arrested Oliver.
