by ALEXX ALTMAN-DEVILBISS | The National News DeskProtesters in Minneapolis appeared to storm a hotel on Sunday, where they suspected federal agents had been staying after the Alex Pretti, 37, was shot and killed on Saturday by a Border Patrol officer while participating in a protest opposing President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
Videos showed demonstrators outside the Home Suites by Hilton Hotel banging on trash cans and bells with windows bashed in and spray-painted with the words "ICE OUT OF MPLS." Officers with the Minneapolis Police Department and heavily armed agents were eventually forced to step in to control the violent crowd trying to push its way inside, according to the“The Minnesota State Patrol and DNR were called to assist Minneapolis police with damage to hotel property at Home2 Suites Hotel on University Avenue,” the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. “While they collaboratively worked to encircle the group for arrests because the demonstration was not peaceful, federal agents arrived without communication and deployed chemical irritants, clearing the group."Video released of the shooting showed the officer, identified as Jonathan Ross, firing his gun several times as Good attempted to drive her SUV away.
