Light snowfall in Millville, New Jersey, prompts residents to stock up on winter supplies and prepare for potentially heavier accumulations over the weekend. The city saw a brief flurry on Friday night, but officials anticipate more significant snowfall on Sunday night into Monday.
Light snowflakes in downtown Millville . Light as in LED.It is a beautiful sight, but what Mother Nature delivered Friday night was not as impressive. Snow flurries fell lightly, leaving behind a coating.Still, trucks salted parking lots for businesses and customers.Earlier, trucks salted major roads in the area and it was just a glimpse of winter weather and what's forecasted Sunday night into Monday, when accumulation is likely.
Officials say now is the time to get ready for winter, which might actually show up this year."People have the weekend. Take the time to prepare not just for Monday but for all winter season. Pack your vehicle emergency kit and forget about it," said Jana Tidwell a spokesperson for AAA Mid-Atlantic.That is what the Ludlams were doing at Home Depot."Wood pellets and some salt," said Rebeccas Ludlam as her husband David loaded the car.
