Crews have scheduled a controlled burn in Draper. Originally planned for Thursday, that burn has been rescheduled for an undetermined later date.Crews working to contain Cherry Creek Fire in Juab Co., mapped at 715 acres“The area that we are in right now, it’s in close proximity to a lot of homes,” Hansen said. “And it’s a high threat area.”“We’ll have crews in place, and like I said before, we’re waiting for snow to be on the ground so vegetation isn’t receptive to fire,” Hansen said.

He said crews have been working in the area for some time now using chainsaws and going through hazardous vegetation to make sure everything is cleared.“We've created defensible space around those piles,” Hansen said. “So there’s no vegetation within 5-10 feet.”“If smoke is seen in the area, we ask that you please don’t report it, there are crews on the ground,” Hansen said.
