Nwosu left Sunday’s loss versus the New York Giants with a thigh injury.

Just as quickly as Uchenna Nwosu returned to the Seattle Seahawks lineup, he found himself right back out. Nwosu, who missed the first month of the regular season with an MCL sprain suffered on an illegal chop block in Seattle’s preseason finale, didn’t get through the first half of his 2024 debut against the New York Giants.

Based on the early comments from Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald, Nwosu is definitely out for Thursday’s Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers, and possibly longer. “I think Chenna’s might be longer than we wanted with his thigh,” Macdonald said on Seattle Sports 710 on Monday morning. As if that wasn’t enough, the Seahawks may have about half of their starting defense missing for Thursday, including their top pass rushers Derick Hall and Boye Mafe, as well as cornerback Riq Woolen.
