After his big day, Barkley told reporters that he saw fans burning his jersey outside the stadium. Although he and Barkley are NFC East rivals, Parsons offered some words of support for the talented rusher.“You almost have to say this because it is not Saquon’s fault that he is not back in the blue and white, that he’s not back in New York. Point fingers at the GM.
Parsons described the fanbase’s treatment of Barkley as the most “outrageous” thing he had seen in his life. The Cowboys pass rusher continued his rant by telling Giants fans to blame general manager Joe Schoen for the way the team is drafting.Although Parsons admitted he didn’t enjoy the idea of facing Barkley twice a year for the foreseeable future, he said he didn’t blame the running back for taking the opportunity to face the team that didn’t want to pay him.
