Detective Sonny Crockett and Detective Rico Tubbs looking forward in Miami Vice
A potential Miami Vice reboot has been addressed by the series' original Sonny star Don Johnson, who reveals whether the '80s crime drama could ever be remade. The original show follows Johnson's Detective Sonny Crockett alongside Phillip Michael Thomas' Detective Ricardo Tubbs as they work undercover missions for the Metro-Dade Police Department in Miami. The series is best known for embracing a New Wave influence, making it one of the greatest procedurals ever made.
I didn't hear the show, but there was a Joe Rogan show on not too long ago. A friend of mine told me he had heard it. Apparently, he and somebody else were singing my praises about how Sonny Crockett was the greatest character of all time, and there hasn't been anyone before or since that has filled those shoes. I’m not saying that, that's Joe Rogan and somebody else. I feel that way about the period of time and the texture of the '80s. It's different now. It's hard.
