is back with new music. On Wednesday, the legendary rock group released “La Bas,” the first taste of new Tacvba music in over seven years.
The new single, produced by Gustavo Santaolalla, sets the tone for Café Tacvba’s new era and celebrates the group’s 35th anniversary. A press release described the track as a “statement of unity, liberty, brotherhood and a safe way of life for immigrants, eliminating borders.” “It dreams of a world where all humans are watching out for each other,” reads the release, which teased “more surprises” for later this year.in 2017. The album featured tracks such as “1-2-3,” “Futuro,” and “Que No.” Since then, the group — comprising Rubén Albarrán, Emmanuel del Real, Joselo Rangel, and Enrique Rangel — debuted a second MTV Unplugged album, a mixtape featuring hits, and a remix of their standout “Eres” with Sindicato del Ritmo.
