Met Office yellow warning for thunder announced for Notts

The Met Office has issued a thunderstorm warning for Nottinghamshire. The yellow warning covers the city and much of the county between 2pm and 9pm on Saturday, June 10.

"Whilst many places will be largely dry, thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail are likely to develop in some places on Saturday afternoon," the warning reads. A list of potential effects reads:Despite the predicted thunderstorms, Nottingham is set to benefit from mainly sunshine over the weekend. Temperatures are expected to hit highs of 27C.
