Forecasters have given their verdict on whether Scotland will see temperatures soar to 30C this weekend
thanks to a plume of warm air rising from the south.
The Met Office has said that the high pressure will drift off towards Scandinavia this week, meaning the settled conditions we've been seeing will come to an end. Some coastal areas will be cooler than the peak figures further inland, with sea breezes preventing the highest temperatures building on immediate coastlines.
