Temperatures could drop to as low as 1°C in Merseyside
The Met Office has issued its latest verdict on whether snow is set to hit the UK in the coming weeks. Temperatures have noticeably dropped this week and chilly conditions are expected across the region as the week progresses. And while headlines may suggest snow could be set to hit parts of the UK, a spokesperson for the Met Office has said it's not possible to pick out an 'exact date' for snow to hit.
The Met Office state that across the North West tonight a minimum temperature of 1°C could be expected. Showery rain will spread slowly southwards on Friday, November 12 and Saturday, November 13 which will lead to a colder and breezier weekend. Mark Sidaway explained: “While temperatures will gradually decline through this week, there’s potential for a colder period of weather to develop from the weekend.
