The Met Office cleared up the rumours

We often find ourselves looking at the weather app, keeping our fingers crossed that we'll see nothing but sun.

Instead it actually means the area of your local region set to be impacted by rain or thunderstorms.

In an explanation video, one weatherman said that if you are looking at the Met Office app, it's all about percentages and chances.
