Pay for a quicker electric Benz? Sure, but it's temporary.
. According to Mercedes, this pricey piece of software can chop up to 1 full second from the aforementioned EQ models' zero-to-60-mph times, thanks to a 20-24-percent increase in motor output. The catch? This power increase isn't permanent—it lasts only one year, at which point, we assume, one can sign back into their Mercedes me account and call up another download via Benz's me connect service .
The changes chop 0.9 second from the EQE sedan's trip to 60 mph, and a full second from the SUV's; the larger EQS versions see less dramatic changes, with the EQS sedan dropping 0.8 second from its zero-to-60 time and the SUV dropping 0.9 second. Mercedes notes that the full effect of the power increase isn't limited to the sportier drive modes, noting how it's included in"all DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs.
