A Steelton man shot and killed early Friday morning outside of the arts center was honored Saturday.
It was an emotional day for many as yet another life was lost due to gun violence in Harrisburg .To those who knew him best, Azar Hughes , 20, was a funny, kind and caring person who loved music, sports and family.“My heart is broken. On Saturday, it was there that friends, family and neighbors left emotional tributes and photos to remember him by. “It was beautiful. I just wish my son was still here," said his mom, Cheryl Hughes, of the memorial and balloon release. The mom of six said she already lost two of her boys roughly ten years ago to gun violence. Azar was her last surviving son.“My life is so empty. I'm empty," she said. “I wish they’d stop with the guns.
