Dave Coulier's wife, Melissa Bring, shares an update on his battle with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, highlighting his resilience, positive attitude, and the unwavering support they receive from their loved ones.
Dave Coulier 's wife, Melissa Bring , shared an update on his health journey as he battles cancer. During an interview with WXYZ published on January 23, Bring revealed the challenges Coulier faces with chemotherapy, stating, 'He has some really tough days, and as the chemo has been accumulating it gets a little tougher and more difficult.
' Despite the difficulties, Bring highlighted Coulier's remarkable positive attitude, explaining, 'He has such a positive attitude, and you need that in order to really fight it.” Every morning, if he's feeling up for it, we try to put on a song and do a little dance party with the dogs, because when you do feel good, you have to celebrate that too.”While acknowledging the unwavering support they receive from loved ones, Bring emphasized Coulier's inherent strength, saying, 'I think for him, he takes every stride and really pulls strength from seeing the women that were so close in his life to powering through it, and he just wants to honor them.' Coulier's journey began in October 2023 when he was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The cancer, detected after an upper respiratory infection caused significant swelling in his lymph nodes, prompted a series of tests culminating in a biopsy. Coulier shared with People magazine in November 2023 that the diagnosis came as a shock, transitioning from a minor cold to a life-altering diagnosis. He expressed the overwhelming nature of the experience, describing it as 'a really fast roller coaster ride of a journey.' However, Coulier's spirits remain high, thanks in part to Bring's unwavering support. She diligently researched treatment options, consulting with their medical friends and developing a personalized plan. A bone marrow test revealed a favorable prognosis, boosting his recovery rate from a low percentage to the 90 percent range. Coulier has undergone three surgeries and is optimistic about achieving complete remission by February upon completing chemotherapy
