Melania Trump broke her silence Sunday morning following an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at a Butler, Pennsylvania campaign rally.In her first public statement since Saturday's incident, she urged Americans to unite and highlighted the former president's personal qualities beyond politics.
' The former First Lady said that Crooks sought to 'ring out Donald's passion—his laughter, ingenuity, love of music and inspiration.'She sought to remind Americans not to 'forget that differing opinions, policy, and political games are inferior to love,' and that 'we are all humans, and fundamentally, instinctively, we want to help one another.' She added that 'love, compassion, kindness and empathy are necessities.
