The Beech Grove City Schools’ school board has six seats, three of which are on the ballot this year. All three candidates are incumbents and don’t face any challengers. All school board member seats are at-large seats.Jannis King
Jannis King is currently the president of the Beech Grove school board and has been serving on the board for over a decade. She currently works as a part-time substitute teacher with Kelly Services, according to her campaign filing report. IndyStar reached out for additional comment.Robert Challis currently serves as the Beech Grove school board’s vice president and was first elected to the board in 2018.
Rickey Skirvin is a current Beech grove school board member and also works at CryoNation, a cryogenic gas installation and service company, according to his campaign filing report. Skirvin has previously tried to run for mayor of Beech Grove in 2019, according toEarly voting has already begun and Indianapolis voters can early vote in person at the Indianapolis City-County building. Additional early voting sites open on Oct. 29.
