A medical jet crashed in Northeast Philadelphia on Friday, January 31, 2025, resulting in seven fatalities and numerous injuries. The Learjet 55, operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, crashed along Cottman Avenue near Roosevelt Boulevard, just minutes after taking off from Northeast Philadelphia Airport. The aircraft was transporting a child who had recently undergone treatment for a life-threatening condition, her mother, and four other individuals.
