In this week’s North Royalton Police Blotter, a woman called police about her daughter being assaulted.
The mother and girl, 9, later came to the police station to discuss the incident.The mother said a teacher was alerted about the incident and scheduled a meeting that never took place.On Sept. 17, police observed a speeding and weaving gray Ford Escape -- which was slowing down followed by speeding up -- traveling westbound on Royalton Road.The Escape was pulled over on Spruce Run Drive.
Asked about the baggie, she said was trash. Further asked if it contained gummies, the woman admitted they were “from earlier” when she had been at the casino visiting her son. Regarding the odor, the driver said she had one drink. When told about having a suspended license, the woman remained silent and shook her head from side to side.The driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license. A driver in a white tractor trailer came into the dealership several days earlier with information seeming to confirm that he was supposed to transport the vehicle to Illinois.

Suspected drugs seized during traffic stop: North Olmsted Police BlotterAn officer at 9:04 p.m. on Sept. 16 spotted a woman biting her nails while driving 67 mph in a 60-mph zone on I-480 near Stearns Road. The female driver, when asked to produce her driver’s license, reached into a fanny pack, and the officer spotted a clear plastic bag with green lettering that he suspected contained drugs.
