Prominent stars like Cillian Murphy and Tilda Swinton have come up in discussions associated with the role. The series is currently in production in the United Kingdom. Some actors in the series’ cast have been announced already. These include Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger. John Lithgow will also be playing Albus Dumbledore alongside Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid. As with the movies, the show is an adaptation of the fantasy novels of the same name by J. K. Rowling.
