MCSO says they received tips about drug activity in both communities
) -Five people now behind bars in Metro Jail after the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office received several tips about two different houses around the county. The first one happened on Tuesday when MCSO went to a house on Tom Hopkins Road in Mount Vernon.
When deputies got there, they say they found 27-year-old Darrell Sullivan along with an AR-15. But that was just the beginning. Investigators say they also found several hundred grams of synthetic marijuana, meth, marijuana and cocaine. Now Sullivan faces several charges including trafficking. Then Wednesday night in Prichard, MCSO deputies went to this house on Kilby Street and arrested 39-year-old Lamarcus Moore, 27-year-old Rondell Harris, 23-year-old Jeremiah Summerlin and 58-year-old Albert Copeland. Investigators say the tips they got from the community lead them to believe the suspects were connected to gang activity.
MCSO says what they found backs up those reports. Investigators say they confiscated almost $12,000 and four handguns along with cocaine, marijuana and fentanyl pills and powder.
