McDonald's is making a comeback with the return of its beloved Snack Wraps in the U.S. and select international markets. A representative for the fast-food giant confirmed this news, stating, 'there is incredible energy for the return of Snack Wraps in the U.S. along with a few other markets, and the U.S. will also launch a new chicken strip offering.
'\The company expressed its excitement about the potential of its chicken portfolio, as McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski previously shared on Good Morning America in December, saying, 'We're excited about the significant opportunity we see within our chicken portfolio.' He further elaborated on the Q4 earnings call, 'We see the potential to add another point of chicken market share by the end of 2026.'\McDonald's had previously featured a standalone crispy chicken menu item, known as Chicken Selects, in the early 2000s. While Kempczinski did not explicitly confirm if the new chicken strips would resemble the former iteration or adopt the Chicken Selects name, the anticipation is high. Snack Wraps, which debuted in 2006, featured a smaller strip of Chicken Selects, nestled within a soft flour tortilla alongside lettuce, cheese, and a special sauce.
