If you’ve been anywhere near X since Monday, then you might have seen that people are absolutely losing it overBut her recent post is worlds away from the glamorous lives you might expect celebrities to lead, with Denise taking to her social media account — which has more than half a million followers — to complain about… Trash.
More specifically, her son’s trash.Tagging Brent Council, which represents one of the boroughs in London, Denise wrote: “Hi @brent_council. You haven’t emptied my son’s bins in 3 weeks. Any attempts at due process has failed.”Adding fuel to the fire, she went on to say: “He tried to talk to a collector who called him a cunt!! Can you let me know how we move forward!!!!”For reference, in London, residents have their trash bins emptied by a council-run refuse service. Trash is separated into general waste and various recycling categories, and each one is typically collected every other week.Denise’s post immediately went viral, with people assuming that she was talking about Matty. For what it’s worth, Denise also has another son, 25-year-old Louis Healy, and as Matty is largely based in the US, it’s probably safe to assume that it’s Louis that she was talking about.Still, thinking it’s Matty is objectively much funnier, and that is exactly what the people of social media ran with. A popular quote-tweet of Denise’s original post simplythat has been liked more than 11,000 times adds: “the concept of a bin man calling matty healy a cunt as he stands next to an overflowing bin full of three weeks worth of rubbish.” Somebody else quote-tweeted a photo of Matty and his fiancée, Gabbriette, at an event on Sunday and: “watching matty catch some of the greatest strays ever because his boomer mom won’t get off socials has really made this a beautiful monday.”If you’re wondering, Brent Council assured Denise that they’d look into the situation “as a matter of urgency,”: “Hi Denise, we are very sorry to hear about your son’s experience. If you could DM us the address, we will look into this as a matter of urgency,” and Denise appeared to be satisfied with this response, telling herUnfortunately for us all, she also deleted the original tweet.
