The USS America, the largest amphibious assault carrier in the 7th Fleet, is due to enter the Port of Brisbane on Tuesday afternoon for a brief stopover.
The 257-metre-long vessel, with Joint Strike Fighters and other aircraft on board, is in Australian waters to take part in the bilateral combined military training event Exercise Talisman Sabre.Credit:The ship travelled south, off the Sunshine Coast, and was due to dock at Fisherman Islands late Tuesday afternoon.
