A 45-year-old man has been hospitalised with multiple gunshot wounds after police fired rounds in a Queensland residence after arriving at the scene in response to reports of a domestic violence incident.

The alleged shooting occurred in the Moreton Bay suburb of Bray Park at about 12.30pm on Monday as local officers were responding to reports of a domestic violence dispute.
