Maserati launches a new personalization program, Fuoriserie By, collaborating with renowned designer Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment Design to create a one-of-a-kind MC20 Cielo. Inspired by the Trident customization program, the Fuoriserie By is a new series from Maserati that invites the automaker’s past collaborators to reimagine one of its famous signature models. 6 Million New Supercar Is De Tomaso’s Latest Comeback Bid“Our wish here is for clients to express their personality and passion by creating their very own Maserati,” Klaus Busse, Maserati’s head of design, said in a statement. “Just like Hiroshi, everyone can choose from a wide range of personalization features from our Fuoriserie collections or take more individual journeys to design true one-of-a-kind rolling sculptures.” Practically every element of the Cielo has been reconfigured, including the tonneau cover at the rear, which is emblazoned with the lightning bolt symbol of Fujiwara’s Fragment Design agency rather than Maserati’s trident, a first for the company. The monochromatic interior is as luxurious as you’d expect. Each six-way power seat comes clad in smooth black leather with white contrast stitching at the seams and the trident logo embroidered into the headrest. For added authentication, a commemorative plate set between the two seats celebrates the unique collaboration, and every driver has the option of opening up the cabin thanks to a retractable smart glass roof. Under the hood, this Cielo retains its F1-inspired V6 Nettuno engine, so its performance remains as exceptional as its design. Fujiwara has a long history with Maserati having teamed up with the carmaker more than once.
