A Maryland woman faces 13 charges after a street race resulted in a fatal crash that killed Minnesota Vikings rookie Khyree Jackson and two of his friends. Prosecutors allege she was driving under the influence at the time of the accident.

A Maryland woman has been arrested and charged with 13 offenses following an indictment related to a July car accident that resulted in the deaths of Minnesota Vikings rookie Khyree Jackson and two of his friends. Prosecutors allege that the woman, identified as Clingman, was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. The accident claimed the lives of Jackson, Isaiah Hazel, and Anthony Lytton Jr.

Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy addressed the tragedy on Thursday, stating, “Each of their lives was special, important, and a tragic loss for their families and our community. These were three young men who had gotten it right in life, who had amazing, bright futures ahead of them. But on July 6th, they were taken away from all of us.” According to prosecutors, Clingman was participating in a street race with Jackson, who was driving a Dodge Charger, when the collision occurred. A third vehicle, a Chevy Impala, was also involved in the accident. Reports indicate that Clingman's Infinity Q50 collided with Jackson's Charger, causing it to veer off the road and strike several tree stumps before coming to a stop. Jackson and Hazel were pronounced dead at the scene, while Lytton succumbed to his injuries at a hospital. Braveboy emphasized the gravity of the situation, saying, “This was a horrific tragedy that should not have occurred. This just starts, really, our fight to get justice for these three young men, their families, Wise High School, the NFL, and this entire community.” Khyree Jackson, a fourth-round draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, had participated in the Vikings' OTAs and minicamp. Hazel played college football for the University of Maryland, and Lytton had attended both Florida State and Penn State.
