Sgt. Luis Valadez, who was born in Mexico and raised in Fort Worth, served as a field artillery cannoneer from 2004 to 2009. The home presentation took place Thursday as part of Bank of America's Homes4WoundedHeroes program, which partners with the Military Warriors Support Foundation to donate mortgage-free properties to veterans injured in service to the country. Valadez trained at San Diego, Camp Pendleton and Fort Sill before being assigned to the 1st Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment in Hawaii.
