Crews are monitoring a mudslide that has severely damaged and buckled a 100-foot stretch of roadway in Marin County. Officials say the road runs adjacent to Highway 101 but there are currently no threats to the freeway.
County officials say the slide occurred Tuesday night on a slope above Redwood Boulevard just west of Marino County Airport - Gnoss Field.
The roadway runs adjacent to southbound Highway 101 but officials say there are no current threats or closures to the highway. Olompali State Historic Park officials say that due to the slide they have been forced to close the park since the roadway is the only public access to the park.&E gas lines and could be putting pressure on a North Marin Water District aqueduct that runs from Sonoma County to Marin. Thankfully, at this time, the gas line and water line remain intact and there is no immediate threat to residents.
