MANILA, Philippines – The Marikina City local government raised the second alarm over Marikina River after its water level reached 16 meters on Saturday evening, the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office said.In its latest advisory, Marikina City Rescue 161 said that as of 7:18 p.m., the river’s water level rose to 16.1 meters from only 15 meters at 5:26 p.m., when the first alarm was raised.
According to Marikina City Rescue 161, forced evacuation will be carried out once the water level hits 18 meters .
