A man was shot by a Homewood police officer early Saturday.
Carol Robinson | [email protected] were dispatched at 2:51 a.m. to a report of a suspicious person in the 1800 block of Parkside Circle in west Homewood, said Sgt. John Carr.
The responding officer encountered the suspect, who was armed with a gun. The officer fired on the suspect, Carr said, injuring him. The man, identified only as an adult white male, was taken to UAB Hospital. The extent of his injuries was not yet made available.
