A man accused of stabbing two people in separate incidents on a New York City subway reportedly has a lengthy criminal record . Jamar Banks of Brooklyn was arrested on Sunday in connection to the pair of stabbing attacks that police said happened in the subway system in Manhattan and the Bronx within the first two days of the new year. On New Year's Day, New York City police responded to a stabbing on the Northbound 2 Train at 9:40 a.m.

Police then identified the sought attacker as 52-year-old Jamar Banks after the wanted flyer was issued. He was charged with first-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to a statement issued by the NYPD’s Public Information Office.
