pleaded guilty to improper handling of a firearm and tampering with evidence, and will spend six months in the Franklin County Jail effective immediately. After that, he will be supervised by probation for three years, and could go to prison should he violate probation.
The sentence was a recommendation of both prosecution and defense, and the judge described it as a reasonable resolution.. Reed was found shot, and medics took him to Doctors Hospital where he later died. Butler was later arrested and was initially charged with murder, though he claimed he had acted in self-defense and that that Reed fired multiple shots first.Butler was ultimately not indicted for murder charges."Our entire community has been affected by this," Melissa Bentley, Reed's aunt said in court. "I've heard it Sinzae’s name go around the world. The world knows his story. He will forever live.
