A man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times during a confrontation with a group of males on the Edmonds waterfront.
The Edmonds Police Department (EPD) responded to a shooting at Admiral Way and Dayton Street where a man was shot several times on Jan. 9, 2025. Edmonds police said that shortly before 2:30 a.m., he was walking with his sister along the waterfront, just west of Dayton Street and Admiral Way, when they were confronted by a group of four to six males. After a short exchange of words, the victim was shot several times by at least one of the suspects before they all ran from the scene.
Officers arrived within three minutes of the call and gave the man medical aid -- including tourniquets and chest seals – until medics arrived and took him to Harborview Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition. Two Edmonds police K-9s, a drone from Marysville police, and officers from Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace and other law enforcement helped Edmonds police search for the suspects, but they were not found.
