OAKLAND — A man was shot multiple times Wednesday morning in East Oakland, authorities said.The shooting happened about 11:48 a.m. Wednesday in the 9800 block of Walnut Street, a residential neighborhood east of 98th Avenue.
Police were trying to determine if the man was shot by someone in a passing vehicle or by someone who confronted him on the street. Several shell casings were recovered in the area.Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooter.
