A shooting on the weekend in San Antonio left a man critically injured, while a separate incident saw a house fire caused by a space heater.
San Antonio police said a man was shot and rushed to a local hospital in critical condition after a shooting on Saturday night. The fire was reported just after 10 p.m.
Saturday in the 6900 block of Sunriver Drive, which is near Converse. According to Bexar County Emergency Services District No. 10, its crews were called to assist the Converse Fire Department at the home. When they arrived, Bexar County fire officials said they found the fire on a couch inside the home and quickly extinguished the flames before they had any chance to spread. No injuries were reported, authorities said.
