A 66-year-old man was sentenced to 90 months in prison for his involvement in a drug trafficking ring connected to Aryan prison gangs. Michael Warren was arrested in March 2023 following a two-year investigation that uncovered a large-scale fentanyl operation. The investigation led to the seizure of over 650,000 suspected fentanyl pills, several kilograms of methamphetamine, and a significant amount of fentanyl powder and firearms.

Agents seized approximately 360 grams of fentanyl powder, 66 grams of suspected fentanyl pills, 10 firearms, one firearm suppressor/silencer, approximately $56,000 in U.S. currency, and multiple phones from another location and four firearms at a third location.
A search of Warren’s home in December 2022 turned up two pill presses, more than 640,000 fentanyl pills, and a kilo of fentanyl powder to make thousands more. Warren also possessed 23 firearms at the stash house, according to federal prosecutors. We have no idea how strong they are. Sometimes there is a little bit of fentanyl in them, and sometimes there’s a ton," said Assistant United States Attorney Zach Dillon. " are not professional chemists. They have no idea how much fentanyl powder should be in any specific pill.
"They’ve come off those drugs for the short while, and if they gain regain access to narcotics even leads to overdoses in our prisons," said Dillon. In addition to manufacturing pills and storing them at his Shelton home, Warren drove to Arizona on multiple occasions to pick up methamphetamine and fentanyl from his drug trafficking organization's supplier.
