A 59-year-old man riding an electric scooter died after being struck by a vehicle on Indianapolis' west side.
Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana allows Indianapolis residents to share anonymous tips with law enforcement.A 59-year-old man is dead after a fatal hit-and-run on Indianapolis' west side Wednesday night, according to police.just after 9 p.m. on a report of a serious injury in a hit-and-run. Upon arrival, police learned a man had been riding a Lime electric scooter on W. Washington Street when he was ejected from the scooter, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
The driver of the vehicle that hit him did not stay on scene, police said. There were no witnesses to the crash, but several people stopped and tried to assist Jackson. There is no vehicle description and no arrest has been made, according to IMPD. The investigation is ongoing.
