A 24-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man was shot and killed after forcing open the door of an apartment near downtown San Antonio Saturday afternoon, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
The apartment resident, a 24-year-old man, heard the suspect knock and then force open the door of his apartment on Tulipan Walk and then fired his gun at the 32-year-old suspect, according to the SAPD. The suspect sustained a gunshot wound to the lower abdomen and was treated by SAPD and Emergency Medical Services but was pronounced dead on the scene, police say. The investigation is still ongoing.
